Leagues Clubs - Don't Cut Weekend Rates
Leagues Clubs play a significant role supporting rugby league – particularly in New South Wales and Queensland.
But workers who keep Leagues Clubs running – the hardworking bar staff, waiters, chefs and cleaners – are all facing a pay cut they can’t afford and don’t deserve.
Clubs workers are some of the lowest paid workers in the country earning on average less than half the average weekly wage.
Any cut to penalty rates would be a pay cut these people can’t afford and don’t deserve.
We’re calling on all Leagues Clubs to play fair and promise not to slash the weekend and public holiday rates of clubs staff.
