"Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull has suggested it is inevitable Sunday penalty rates will be reduced"

Sydney Morning Herald, October 6, 2015

Weekends still mean something in Australia. Time with family and friends, relaxing, catching a match. But for many Australians, weekends mean work.

Weekend penalty rates are an acknowledgement that working unsociable hours comes at a cost. Weekend rates are also a vital part of peoples’ pay that help to pay the bills and keep food on the table for millions of Australian families.

With employers stepping up their campaign to cut weekend penalty rates, we’re coming together to Save Our Weekend and defend weekend rates.
